The 2022 Harvest Your Energy Festival was held on Saturday October 15, 2022, from 12PM to 3PM at Riverbend Park.
It was a sunny afternoon filled with activities, raffle prizes, food, and live music performed by Matt Heaton and the Outside Toys and Trail Mix – Uncommon Folk. Visitors were able to learn about energy saving methods, sustainability, and the environment from some of the 44 local businesses and organizations that tabled. Clothing/textile recycling, electronics recycling, and paper shredding were also available. According to Helpsy, we were able to successfully divert 1,276 lbs of textile from the landfill! There were also opportunities to visit and learn about “Windy” the wind turbine.
Thank you to all attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, performers, and volunteers for making this day a success! Stay tuned for information regarding HYEF 2023…
